Rebecca Reis-Miller, Sustainable Synergy, Inc

Rebecca Reis-Miller has always recognized the importance of giving back to her community. This dedication led her to spend the last 20 years volunteering her time in varying capacities.  She has dedicated the last seven years to both environmental and social activism.  One of her greatest passions has been her activism within the areas of food sustainability.  She has served on the board for Simple Living Institute, a Central Florida non-profit organization dedicated to research and education on organic practices; ran a local farmers market; served on the Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference Stakeholder Committee; and currently serves as the Slow Food Chapter Leader for Orlando, Florida.  Mrs. Reis-Miller feels that philanthropy and volunteerism are an integral part of Sustainable Synergy’s business model, and the team will continue to support local and national efforts.

As Vice President at Sustainable Synergy, Rebecca collaborates with Jennifer Waxman-Loyd to work with companies on integrating Sustainability into their business model, products and/or services, and marketing communications.  Her specialized services include: Proposal Writing, Research, Strategic Planning, Market Trends & Competitive Analysis; Strategic Partner Identification & Establishment; and Brand Development.

Prior to Sustainable Synergy, Mrs. Reis-Miller served in varying capacities in some of the most reputable organizations in Central Florida, including Heart of Florida United Way and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.  She served at Manager of Marketing and Communications at Heart of Florida United Way and Market Coordinator for a business development program at Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce. 

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Masters of Public Administration from University of Central Florida.  Mrs. Reis-Miller focused on non-profit management and proposal writing while in graduate school.  Soon after graduation, she began consulting for small businesses as a side project, while pursuing other ventures related to Sustainability.  She is an asset in the planning and development of progressive environmental initiatives.
