Now that we have a new president in office, does anyone think that he will make good on any of his campaign promises? We need to to take immediate steps and implement changes to hence assure the sustainability of our planet.

I think that the majority of the voting nation forget that change does not happen over night. This is one man - with a strong team - but change requires action from everybody. It is so easy for people to sit back and point fingers anb make demands, yet they do so from the sidelines. Change starts within each of us, our community, nation and ultimately the planret. Lets stop talking about what Obama can do for our country, but what WE can do starting today!

I am just learning about the green movement. This election really opened my eyes. ALthough I am new to the movement, I was still proud and a bit surprised that PResident Obama had such a strong dedicaion to green. I am wondering why you say Green Is Dead when the term Green is used everywhere - even by our government?

Tread Lightly, I agree with you. Everyone needs to pitch in and help create change. We now have a great leader in office, who prior to being elected has already made an impact on so many lives. We can't leave President Obama to all the work on his own. I am so glad this site is available so that individuals can start educating themselves on steps toward sustainability.

I think the term "green is dead" is being used as an attention grabber, for the very reason that it is being used everywhere. The true meaning of the green movement has been corrupted by big biz & in many instances the government. Being green shouldn't be about gaining market share (ie. Clorox). It should be about sustainability and assuring the future of our planet.
